Test EF 70-200 F2.8 L

My friend let me test his lens EF-70-200 F2.8 L last Saturday. It's very excellent lens, good optical, good build quality, great color tone, etc but it is pretty heavy, 1.3 kg for lens only. I wish I could have the professional lens like this : )

I also had a chance to test this lens by shooting portrait. I pushed ISO to 1600 but I still had shutter speed around 1/40 - 1/60 sec. Therefore, some photos may not sharp due to not enough shutter speed for handheld.

I recommend that if you are interested in the zoom lens, please consider Image Stabilizer (IS) / Vibration Reduction (VR) lens or something that equivalent. It can help you for taking photos in low light environment.

Cheers,
DSM

I have been hearing a lot about the Nikon equivalent of this lens. Your pictures came out great and the model is cute.

Marie, she is not my girlfriend. She was in the camera shop while I was testing this lens. Therefore, I took her photos by chance.
