Sky Watch Friday: The Democracy Monument, Bangkok Thailand

I went to take some photos of The Democracy Monument, Bangkok Thailand. I was pretty lucky at that time because raining just stopped after raining cats and dogs for whole afternoon. I walked around a little bit to find the good location for my shot. Wow, I got my a nice location and then I put my camera on my Tripod and shot this shot. I used the rule of third and reflection to compose this shot. Moreover, I also captured the dramatic blue sky. Finally, I got my satisfied shot as you see in my blog.

Photo info: Canon EOS 400 D, Lens Canon EFS 10-22, Shutter speed 30 sec, F 11, ISO 100, light metering evaluative.

Note: The Democracy Monument (In Thai, called Anusawari Prachathipatai) is a public monument in the centre of Bangkok, capital of Thailand. It occupies a traffic circle on the wide east-west boulevard Thanon Ratchadamnoen Klang, at the intersection of Thanon Dinso. The monument is roughly halfway between Sanam Luang, the former royal cremation ground in front of Wat Phra Kaew, and the temple of the Golden Mount (Phu Kao Thong).

Great shot and commentary. I love the varied blues in the sky contrasted with the monument. The reflection is a huge bonus.

it'a fantastic shot... the wet road makes a reflection and the beautiful clouds added a beauty of the picture, a combination of skywatch and reflection in one.
